Best Accessory in a Supporting Role

by Wendy
The Award for Best Accessory in a Supporting Role goes to none other than my latest favorite tote purse. Bought last November from H&M, this bag quickly rose to a starring role for both work and travel.

Look at everything it can hold – a laptop or ipad, phones, chargers, file of papers, notebook and pens, a smaller purse, paperback, winter hat, tissues, bottle of water, hand sanitizer, scarf. I packed this bag and a wheeled carry-on for a business trip to Utah in January, then flew back home and promptly repacked said bag/wheeled carry-on to go back to Utah for skiing and visit family in California. A chameleon, this purse. Not the lightweight crossbody handbag you’d cast for long walks in a city, but no less a hard worker. Featured on weekend trips, and its talent for the workday gets rave reviews. Everyone’s like, oh I love that bag where did you get it? Then look doubtful when I say H&M. Such a bargain, yet such elegance. So versatile. So believable. Instant polish and organization. It’s a friend and supporter tucked under my arm or airline seat or conference table and the purse is all, don’t worry Wendy we’ve got this. If there’s one critique, it’s that the zipper sticks or splits sometimes but has always been fixable so far. Otherwise, flawless performance. Congratulations and thanks, dear purse.
